Reporting: The Options
If you witnessed or know that an act of sexual violence was committed either on school property or involving members of the university community (including students, faculty, and staff), you can report the incident to the U.Va. Office of the Dean of Students at justreportit.virginia.edu. If you leave your name, ODOS will follow up with you and any parties you report.
If you are a survivor of sexual violence and choose to report the incident, you have options. An act of sexual violence either involving a member of the university community or occurring on university property can be reported to the University of Virginia. Any act of sexual violence can also be reported to the Charlottesville Police Department. If you choose to report, you can pursue either channel, or both.
